Inktober is a month-long art challenge created by artist and illustrator, Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits. Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and posts it online.
Since it began in 2009, Inktober has grown into an exciting fall tradition shared by many artists who design their own prompts and work with a variety of art mediums. I will be using the prompts to write. I tried this last year, and although I didn't make it all the way through, I had a lot of fun with it. This year I intend to write every day.
I will be using last year’s prompts from artist, Danielle Boinay. Danielle’s art is heavily inspired by nature, and I will draw on that theme to reflect on God’s creation. I invite you to join me in my insta-poetry challenge.
