Culture shared (Diwali)
The beauty of cultures shared written in the palm of her hand. Today was Diwali, The Festival of Lights in India. Students at the university I attend (which has a large Indian demographic), marked the celebration with an event on campus featuring lots of lights, food, and dancing, and more. I thought one of the most beautiful images of the evening was the henna station, where students went to have the hands and arms, and even their legs drawn on. There are few occasions where we get so close to one another and embrace culture in that way, which is a shame, because the sharing of cultures is so very beautiful. HAPPY DIWALI!
